Created exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, the Earle Brown Music Foundation Charitable Trust supports activities in the areas of contemporary music as well as education, women’s rights and health, and climate change research and environmental protection.
Contemporary Music
- Preserves the legacy and disseminates the works of American composer Earle Brown (1926-2002). The Earle Brown Archive is permanently housed at the Paul Sacher Foundation, Basel, Switzerland. Please direct research requests to Dr. Simon Obert.
- Promotes the composition and performance of contemporary music, fostering its understanding and appreciation, through TIME:SPANS, an annual festival of contemporary music.
- Actively supports education and dialogue in the field of contemporary music in the innovative and collegial spirit of Earle Brown as teacher and mentor.
